Chandan jatra




 1.this fair is celebrated for twenty-one days in the month of jaishtha,(may-june), when a smaller replica of lord krishna is take to the sacred tank for boating after smearing it with 'chandan' or sandalwood paste.

2.this is aimed at providing the lord cool, comfort and relief from the summer heat.

3.this is celebrated at place where there is a krishna temple and alot of merriment  goes with it when pilgrism congregate. The mai centre of this fair is mathura

4.ଚନ୍ଦନ ଯାତ୍ରା ରେ କିଚକ ସାଇରେନ୍ଦରୀ କୁ ଦେଖି ତା ପ୍ରେମରେ ପଡି ଯାଇଥିଲା

5.. ଏହା କୃଷ୍ଣ ଭଗବାନଙ୍କ ରାସ କ୍ରୀଡା ଅନୁଯାଇ ପାଳନ କରନ୍ତି ଗୋପିଙ୍କ ଭିଡ ଭିତରେ  ରାଧାଙ୍କ ସହ ଖେଳିଥାନ୍ତି

6. କୃଷ୍ଣଙ୍କ ମାମୁ କଂଶ  ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଥିଲେ ମଥୁରାରେ ପରେ ପରେ ପାରଂପର ଅନୁଯାଇ ଚାଲିଥାଏ

ratha Yatra .. ରଥ ଯାତ୍ରା                         1..this spectacular chariot festival is held at the famous jagannath temple in puri.ratha Yatra is also known as the car festival.this festival is celebrated in the Asadha month of the Hindu calendar , on the second day of the lunar fortnight, that falls during June-july. 2..Rath Yatra is celebrated in the honour of lord Jagannath who is believed to be an incarnation of Vishnu.One of the many legends goes that indradyamana, the king of Avanti, went to puri to have darshan of Vishnu, but he found that the God had  disappeared .
